EMC - Off peak access

What is this free off peak promo? How does this work?

Free off-peak means free access to the Internet that is equal to 2x your plan. I.E. If you have a Personal 33 account, you will get additional 22 free off-peak. If you have a M+C 21 account, you will get additional free 14 hrs off-peak, Multiuser 459 gets additional 306 free off peak, etc.

Off peak hours are from 9:00 pm in the evening to 7:00 am in the morning. Users are eligible for this only if their account is in GOOD STANDING and you are a QUALIFIED SUBSCRIBER.

Who are qualified?

Subscribers in mail&chat, individual, multi-user & retired full access plans category.

EMC employees, freebie accounts, special accounts, bundled Lanaxs accounts, Webaxs, & broadband dialup accounts are not qualified to avail of this.

How will I know if my account is in good standing?

You are in good standing if your account balance is less than or equal to your monthly subscription. Please check your account status

Note: EMC we will not be responsible for delays in the banking system, nor will EMC honor faxed deposit slips as payments until there is confirmation from the bank of such payment.

How will I know if I still have offpeak credits? how will I know if my offpeak credits have been fully consumed?

Clicking here will show you whether you are still allowed free off-peak hours and whether or not your off-peak credits have been fully consumed.

I started my connection at 7:40 pm but didn’t notice I was online until 2:00 am, and my account is in good standing. How will my usage be computed?

We automatically split your usage. From 7:40 pm to 9:00 pm your connection will be treated as peak, hence this will be counted against the hours of your plan. From 9:00 pm to 2:00 am, your connection is FREE if you are in good standing and a qualified subscriber. If your account is not in good standing, the time will be deducted against the hours of your plan and labelled OFFPEAK.

How will my usage logs look like? how will I know, at the end of my billing period, my total peak & offpeak connections & which of these are free?

At the start of my billday, my account was NOT in good standing. After 3 days I paid my entire balance, will my free off peak credits be still equal to my plan which is Personal 54?

Yes. But please note that your off-peak access on the days your account is not in good standing will still be charged.

Can the unused credits be carried over for the next month?

No they cannot. Your credits for any unused hours are reset on your billing date.

I already paid for my account yesterday through the bank, why is my off-peak access still charged? Shouldn’t I be in good standing by now.

Only payments posted in our billing system will be considered paid. Please contact us to verify if your payment has already been confirmed by the bank.
