Windows XP

1. From the start menu select Control Panel
2. Double click Network Connections to start the connection wizard.
3. In the Network tasks section, click Create New Connection then click Next.
4. Select Connect to the Internet and click Next.
5. Select Setup my Connection Manually and click Next.
6. Select Connect using a Dial-up Modem and click Next.
7. In the ISP name text box, type your isp name and click Next.
8. In the phone number text box, enter your isp dial-ip number and click Next.
9. Select an option for Connection Availability and click Next.
10. In the Username, Password and Confirm password text box, enter your       username and password.
Username: username@emc
Password: your dialup password
Confirm Password: your dialup password
11. Deselect Turn on Internet Connection firewall and click Next.
12. Select Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and click Finish.

Windows 2000

1. Select Start then Settings and go to Network and Dial-up Connections
2. Double click Make New Connection and a New Connection Wizard will appear     then click Next.
3. In the Location Information box, enter your country and area code then click OK     to continue to the Phone and Modem Option dialog box.
4. Select the location you have created and click OK. The Phone and Modem     Options dialog box will close, and the buttons will now be selectable in the     Network Connection Wizard.Click Next.
5. Select Dial-up to the Internet and click Next.
6. Select I want to setup my Internet connection manually and click Next.
7. Select I connect through a phone line and modem and click Next.
8. Enter your dial-up number and uncheck Use Area Code and Dialing Rules.Click Next.
9. Type a name for your connection and click Next.
10. Type in your User ID and password, and click Next.

Username: username@emc
Password: your dialup password
Confirm Password: your dialup password

11. When asked to setup your Internet mail account now, select No and click Next.
12. Click Finish to close the wizard.
13. Double click the Icon the installation wizard has created.
14. Click the Properties Tab.
15. On the Properties Tab, Click the Networking Tab.
16. Click the Settings button on the Type of dial-up server i am calling:
17. Uncheck the Negotiate Multilink for single link connections.
18. Click OK, to save.
19. Click OK, to exit the dialup properties window.

Windows 95/98

1. Double click My Computer icon on your desktop.
2. Double click Dial-Up Networking icon in My Computer window.
A Welcome to Dial-Up Networking window will appear if you have not made any connections yet.
3. Double click Make New Connection.
4. Inside "Type a name for the computer your are dialing", type EMC(or any name you want).
5. Click Next.
6. Type the following:

Area code: 02
Telephone number 4142022
Country Code: Philippines (63)

7. Click Next then Finish.
8. Inside Dial-Up Networking window, highlight EMC, go to File menu then choose     Properties.
9. Unselect "Use country code and area code" then click Server Types.
10. Unselect Log on to Network, NetBEUI and IPX/SPX Compatible
Note: Repeat steps 3 to 11 to make another icon for the following dial-up numbers: 4142022
To connect, double click EMC, type your username and password then click Connect.

Windows NT

Network protocol configuration

1. Right click on the Network Neighborhood icon then choose Properties.
2. Click on the Services tab then select the Add button.
3. In the Select Network Service window, highlight Remote Access Service then click OK. Setup may ask for your Windows NT CD-ROM.
4. Click Continue if your NT installer is already in your CD-ROM drive. If there is no modem installed, you will be prompted to add a modem.
5. Click Yes to add a modem (be sure to turn the modem ON).
6. Click Next in the Install New Modem window.
7. Click Next if a new modem was found. If windows did not detect your modem, please check your modem connection then repeat steps 5-6.
8. Click Finish.
9. Click OK in the Add RAS Device window.
10. Click the Continue button in the Remote Access Setup window.
11. Click the Close button in the Network window.

Windows NT RAS Setup

1. Double click My Computer.
2. Double click Dial-Up Networking.
3. If dial-up networking is not installed, it will prompt a window asking you to install it. Click Install to start the installation.
4. In the Add RAS Device window, select the modem to use then click OK or click the Install Modem if you don??t have one installed.
5. Click Network?? in the Remote Access Setup window.
6. In the Network Configuration window, select only TCP/IP then click OK.
7. Click on Restart.
8. Double click Dial-Up Networking again inside My Computer.
9. Since this is your first time in Dial-Up Networking, it will prompt you that your phonebook is empty. Click on OK and it will open the New Phonebook Entry Wizard.
10. Under the "Name the new phonebook entry", type EMC then click Next.
11. In the next window, make sure that the check boxes, "I am calling the Internet" and "Send my plain text password if that??s the only way to connect", are checked.
12. Under the Phone number field, enter 4142022 then click Next.
13. Click Finish.
14. To configure the Dialer, Click the the pull down menu More then choose the option Edit entry and modem properties.
15. Click the Server tab.
16. Under the Dial-up server type, choose PPP: Windows NT, Windows 95 plus, Internet.
17. On the Network protocols, check on TCP/IP only and uncheck both IPX/SPX compatible and NetBEUI. Also put a check on Enable software compression and uncheck the button Enable PPP LCP extension.

Mac OS X

1. Go to System Preferences
2. Click Network
2. On the Internal Modem Settings
2. Enter the following in the PPP Tab

Service Provider: EMC
Account Name: username@emc
Password: <your dialup password>
Tel. Number : <4142022>

2. Click TCP/IP tab, choose using PPP
2. Click Apply or OK
