EMC is engaged in providing co-location solutions that meet telco standards. Located in a Tier 1 facility, EMC's co-location solutions are highly reliable and scalable. The facility is equipped with power redundancies for normal and genset power, 24 x 7 HVAC systems, gas type fire suppression, and high bandwidth availability. Everything a company would need to run its servers efficiently.

With EMC's co-location solutions, customers may lease secure space for their servers and other equipment in the data center. Through co-location, locators are provided with consistent services minus the expense of building and operating their own in-house facility.

EMC can meet client requirements through the following packages:

Clients may lease data rack space per rack unit (RU). This allows flexibility for the customer to locate their equipment be it servers, switches, disc array, etc. within a data cabinet provided by EMC. The customer is billed based on the cabinet space occupied by their equipment.

The unit of measure will be equivalent to 4 standard rack units (RU) which is equivalent to the following dimensions W - 19" and H - 7" with interior depth of up to 24".

Allows the customer to locate their equipment (server, switch, disc array, etc) inside a data cabinet provided by EMC which is DEDICATED for their use. This option gives the customer flexibility in planning and provisioning their future expansion requirements, with the benefit of added security.

Leasing data center space would enable a company to have their own data center space at the fraction of the price of building their own within their office space. It would allow a company to focus on their core competencies and at the same time be at ease at the fact that their servers and other network equipment are safe and running 24 x 7. This scenario would allow a company to bring in their own equipment such as racks, disk arrays, UPS, etc. The standard size per square meter is 1.7 sqm.
